Our Team

  • Amy Andrews, Preschool Teacher

My name is Amy Andrews, and I am thrilled to have the opportunity to teach at Chatham Christian Academy. I love Jesus, my family and teaching young children! Nothing is sweeter than having a personal relationship with Jesus, my Savior! I have been blessed to grow up in rural Chatham County in a Christian home, and I have worshiped in a Baptist Church my entire life. I’m so grateful that God is powerful, loving, faithful, all-knowing, and ever present. Matthew 5:16 states, “In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in Heaven.” It is my earnest desire to glorify Him in all that I do and to point others to Him.

I am married to Bradley Andrews, and we have been blessed with a daughter, Kelsey (19) and a son, Grant (15). We are a close knit family that enjoys spending time together.

I was a NC Teaching Fellow who attended Meredith College, where I earned my BA in Psychology alongside my K-5 Teaching Certification. I also earned a graduate degree in Elementary Education from Elon University. I have taught early elementary grades (kindergarten and first grade) in Chatham County Schools for the past 30 years and joined CCA in November of 2024. I can’t wait to see how God will bless Chatham Christian Academy this year!

  • Jennifer Sturm, Elementary Teacher

My name is Jennifer Sturm and I am so excited to join Chatham Christian Academy! I graduated from the University of North Carolina Wilmington with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education. I have over 18 years of teaching experience, with 12 of those years in Christian education. I simply love the Lord, His precious children, and planting seeds of faith and discernment that will help them seek God’s will for their future. Christian education reinforces and helps children know that their self-worth is found in God alone and that he loves them, is always truthful, and has a good plan for them.

I was blessed to be raised in a loving, Christian home. My faith has sustained me through the best and most trying of times and is central to my identity. I am so thankful for a loving God who is faithful and good!

I am married to my best friend, Bryan, and we will celebrate our 30th wedding anniversary this August. We have 2 grown daughters, 2 son-in-laws, and a very spoiled Cav-a-Poo named Ellie Mae. We enjoy time at the beach, outdoor activities, and sports (spectating, not playing;)!

  • April Troxler, Assistant, Art Teacher & After School Director

My name is April Troxler and I graduated from Elon University in May of 2024. I majored in Communication Design and minored in Art.

I grew up in Silk Hope NC with my older sister, parents, and various pets. I’ve been attending church my entire life and am happy to call Bethany Presbyterian my second home.

I joined CCA in November of 2024 and I am so excited to see what new things God has in store for me our wonderful students in 2025-26!

  • Jessica Burton, Music Teacher

My name is Jessica Burton and I am looking forward to teaching your child music at Chatham Christian Academy. I am a 2004 graduate of Gardner-Webb University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Education. I’ve taught music and theater for several years in the public school system and have worked with children’s choirs/drama teams in local churches. God’s gift of music has brought so much joy to my life and I can’t wait to share this joy with your child. Music gives us a wonderful opportunity to teach the Bible and share Gospel with children. I look forward to working with your student this fall.

  • Lynda Burke, PE Teacher

My name is Lynda Burke. I am so excited to be working at CCA as the PE instructor. I taught for 30 years in Chatham County Schools working as a Business/Marketing teacher and as a PE teacher. I enjoy reading, traveling and spending time with my family. I look forward to working with the students at CCA in the 2025-26 school year!
